This is what I collect, why, and how to make it stop. It is written to be read. If anything here is unclear, email me at hello@fiumaradesigns.com and I will answer plainly.
If you fill in the contact form
I receive what you type: your name, your email address, your business name, and your current website if you gave one. I also record the internet address the form was sent from, which helps me tell a real person from a spam bot. Nothing else is collected from the form.
I use it for one thing: to reply to you about a free mockup. It is not sold, shared, or added to any list. If you never become a client, you can ask me to delete it and I will.
If I emailed you first
I sometimes write to Long Island businesses whose contact details are publicly listed — on their own website, or in a public business directory — to offer a free mockup. That is the only source of those addresses. I do not buy lists.
Every one of those emails includes a working unsubscribe link and my mailing address. Click the link and you will not hear from me again; I keep your address on a do-not-contact list so it cannot be re-added by mistake. You can also just reply and say so.
If you become a client
Your site, its content, and the details of our work together are covered by the service agreement you accept when you become a client, which says more than this page does. In short: your content stays yours, and I only use it to build and run your site.
If your site has a contact form, the messages your customers send through it are stored so you can read them. They belong to you, not to me, and I do not read them except to fix a problem you have asked me to fix.
What this site does not do
- No advertising or analytics trackers. There is nothing on this site that follows you to other sites.
- No cookies for tracking. The only thing this site stores in your browser is your light-or-dark theme choice, which stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
- No selling or sharing of anything you give me.
Who else touches the data
Two services run behind the scenes, both under contracts that forbid them using the data for their own purposes: the database is hosted by Supabase, and the site is served by Cloudflare. Email is sent through Google Workspace. That is the whole list.
Your choices
- See or delete what I have about you. Email me. I will tell you what I hold and delete it on request, unless I am required to keep it (for example, a signed agreement).
- Stop hearing from me. The unsubscribe link in any email, or a reply saying so.
If something goes wrong
If personal information I hold is ever exposed in a way that could affect you, I will tell you directly and promptly, as New York law requires, and I will tell you what happened in plain terms.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with it. I will not quietly widen what I collect.
